Structural and Dimensional Drawings

EX: Beams are the primary structural support for any structure. Beams support the roof, support the floors as well as providing support for large open spans such as great rooms or garage door openings. To provide a safe structural support such beams need to be calculated based on length of span, how much weight the span has to support, including seismic or weather related loads such as ice and snow. We use steel and wood in the beam, along with other joining procedures to make the construction more robust than code requires. We utilize computer programs on-site to calculate simple or advanced beam spans. We can calculate beams in dimensional wood in any species, LVL lumber, and steel beams in many shapes such as I-beams. Those calcs are fed into the structural drawings and blueprints that are reviewed, stamped and approved by the local juristiction. Final Inspections and Finish Work

We will provide a set of drawings that you may submit to the city to obtain the required permits. Our cost plus contracts include addressing all city comments (if any) on our plans until the permit is approved.
